Development Program Launch – 2026
🏌️ The Program
In early 2026, the Club proudly launched a development program. The club welcomed five new players into the game of golf. The initiative aims to grow the sport within our community. In addition, it equips new members with the skills and confidence to enjoy and compete in the game.
📍 Training Sessions
Participants trained under CPO (Ret) Neville Solomons at Youngsfield. There, Neville introduced them to equipment knowledge and proper stance. Next, they worked on fundamental techniques, including iron play, driving, chipping, and putting.
🚶 On the Course
After completing instructional sessions, development players moved onto the course. They walked alongside experienced members during competition play. As a result, they gained exposure to real-game scenarios, course etiquette, and strategic play.
🏆 Club Highlight
We are especially proud of Rfn Inoushra Jantjies, who represented the Club at the SA Army Championships. She was crowned the 2026 SA Army Development Champion. Furthermore, the Club was represented at the SAN Golf Championship. We commend all participants for their dedication and pride.
